In Memory of a loyal supporter

In Memory of a loyal supporter. ( Public )
Thank you to everyone who has shown support by making donations, instead of sending flowers, in memory of Alf Robinson, one of Shine’s most loyal followers, who sadly died in the spring.  I know that Alf would thoroughly approve of your actions and can rest assured knowing  that the money will be well spent helping the children he cared so deeply about.

Cash boost from Sussex Heritage Centre

Cash boost from Sussex Heritage Centre ( Public )
Shine Theatre Trust has been chosen as one of two Sussex charities to benefit from the donations made by visitors to the Heritage Centre in South Downs Nurseries, Hassocks.
Just one month after the exhibition opening, Jonathan Tate, Managing Director of South Downs Nurseries, presented the Trust with a cheque for an amazing £500!
Thank you to all the team at South Downs Nurseries and the generous visitors to the Sussex Heritage Centre.
(click small photo to view the burying of the time capsule) Instead of paying an admission fee to the Heritage Centre visitors are invited to make a donation to two local charities; Shine Theatre Trust and Burgess Hill Lions.  The Heritage Centre celebrates the rich rural history of Sussex with exhibits by wheelwrights, rope makers, blacksmiths and a traditional trug maker.  Agricultural machinery, tools and implements are displayed against a backdrop of ‘shop windows’ featuring packaging and artifacts from a by-gone era.  The Heritage Garden is planted with herbs, vegetables, fruit and flowers that all have had an important part to play in Sussex’s farming history.
The Heritage Centre has something to interest everyone, please pay a visit soon- and support Shine along the way.
