Sponsorship from South Downs Nurseries and Garden Centre continues.

South Downs Nurseries and Garden Centre has given a very generous, retrospective, sponsorship of “The Sound of White”; the show staged in Holy Trinity Church, Hurstpierpoint, in December last year.

Instead of charging an entrance fee to the Sussex Heritage Museum, housed at their Hassocks Garden Centre, South Downs ask for donations.  These donations are then given to two carefully selected local charities, Shine Theatre Trust being one of them.

Thank you to all the visitors to the museum who have donated so generously and to the management of Tates Garden Centres for their continuing encouragement and support.

Thank you to Bryan Hirst Photography.

Little snowflakes!

Little snowflakes!

Thanks to everyone who bought Bryan’s fantastic photographs, taken during the Sound of White show in December, he has been able to make a very generous donation to the Trust.  The money will be spent on subsidising Shining Stars summer term.

Thank you, Bryan and all the proud owners of very beautiful photographs.

Seasons Greetings to Shine from Premiere Picture Ltd.

A big ‘thank you’ to Premiere Picture who decided, instead of sending Christmas cards, to donate the money to charity.  This year the chosen charity is Shine Theatre Trust.

Premiere Picture are based in Brighton and have an office in London.  They are leading film financiers and producers, have a look on their website to see what they are up to at the moment.

Every picture tells a story…

…and this story is of great generosity and kindness.

Ditchling artist, Ruth Gaskill has donated the money paid for one of her paintings to Shine Theatre Trust.  The painting was bought at an auction by Simon, the owner of Cafe Murano in Hurstpierpoint High Street.  Do have a look at it next time you are enjoying a coffee in the village.

Thank you Ruth.

Waitrose shoppers support children’s inclusive theatre.

Many thanks to the shoppers in the Burgess Hill branch of Waitrose who bought ‘chips’ to support Shine Theatre Trust.  A very welcome cheque arrived during the summer holiday period.  The money will be used to help with the production costs of ‘The Sound of White”; the title of Shine Theatre Group’s Christmas 09 production.

Thank you especially to the person who nominated Shine Theatre Trust to benefit from this innovative scheme – a fantastic idea!
